One Big Rock

I would want an engagement  ring with a big rock, but I don't really need one so in all honesty it doesn't really matter if I get one from the boyfriend or not.  It's a want, not a need.  But if I do get one, I hope it's one unique ring.

Imagine my delight when I came across this ring, made by Macha Jewellery:

The "stone" is literally a rock carved from silver or gold plated alloy, set on sterling silver.  I think it's brilliant.  It looks like a rough diamond. I love that it's so irreverent.  I even love the box it comes with, so classy:
